Delete your account

You can delete your ReelRegs account yourself, at any time, and we do not ask why.

In the app

1. Open Settings from the menu.
2. Go to Your data.
3. Choose Delete account and confirm. You will be asked to type DELETE so it cannot happen by accident.

Export your catch log first if you want to keep it - the same screen has the button, and it is the only copy you will get.

If you cannot sign in

Email support@reelregs.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is you, delete the account, and tell you when it is done.

What is deleted

Your sign-in, your catch log, the waters you follow and the spots you pinned, your preferences, and your analytics profile and its history. Any active subscription is cancelled.

A few things outlast the account: payment records, for as long as tax and corporate records law requires; a report you sent us about a rule that looked wrong, kept as the record of the correction with your identity removed; our internal record of administrative actions on your account; the record that you agreed to our terms, which version and when; support emails, for up to two years; and server logs, for up to 30 days. Backups age out within 90 days. None of it is used to contact you or to rebuild a profile of you. This is set out in full in our Privacy Policy.
